It has recently come to our attention that certain Google services, especially Gmail, have experienced outages over the past 48 hours. According to Google, this could manifest as slow or unsuccessful delivery of emails, error messages, or other problems connecting to Gmail by web browser or desktop application. On Monday, other Google services like Google Classroom and YouTube also experienced service outages.
“Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better,” Google said.

According to Google, the problem has now been resolved and users should no longer have trouble connecting to or using any of their services. Despite these assurances, people are continuing to report Gmail service disruptions on DownDetector.com. About three quarters of these reports cite problems receiving messages, while just under one quarter cite problems connecting to Gmail in the first place.
Currently, Google’s Workspace Status Dashboard reports that all Google services are up and running properly. Considering there are numerous reports of outages or service disruptions, even after Google claimed the issues were resolved, remain cautious when utilizing Google services for the next week or so. If you are continuing to experience problems with any of Google’s services, try to utilize a similar service that is not operated by Google. For instance, if you are trying to email someone with a Gmail account, find out if they might have an email account through another service, like Microsoft, iCloud, Yahoo, etc that could be utilized instead.
